Ingredients
- 12 oz ziti pasta
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 lb Italian sausage
- 3 cups marinara sauce
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
Cook ziti pasta in salted water until al dente
Brown ground beef and sausage in a skillet
Add marinara sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper
Mix cooked pasta with meat sauce in a bowl
Spread half the mixture in baking dish
Dollop ricotta cheese over pasta mixture
Layer with remaining pasta and sauce
Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese
Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes
Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes
Garnish with fresh basil and serve
