Frequently Asked Questions
The spears should be bright green and crisp-tender when pierced with a fork
No, just trim the woody ends. Peeling is unnecessary for air frying
Fresh is recommended. Frozen asparagus will be mushy when air fried
You may not have trimmed enough of the woody ends off the bottom
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days
Yes, but cook in batches to avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket
Medium thickness (about pencil-width) works best for air frying
Oil helps with crisping, but you can reduce it to 1 tablespoon if desired
Bend each spear until it snaps naturally, or cut where the color changes from white to green
Make sure to dry thoroughly and don't overcrowd the basket
