Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef hot dogs, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • ½ cup BBQ sauce
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

Cut hot dogs into 1-inch bite-sized pieces using sharp knife

In small saucepan, combine BBQ sauce, brown sugar, honey, melted butter, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper and cayenne pepper

Heat sauce mixture over medium heat stirring constantly until sugar dissolves and sauce is smooth about 3 minutes

Place hot dog pieces in large mixing bowl

Pour half of the sauce mixture over hot dog pieces and toss to coat evenly

Reserve remaining sauce for glazing after cooking

Preheat air fryer to 400°F for 3 minutes

Spray air fryer basket generously with cooking spray

Add coated hot dog pieces to basket in single layer

Cook at 400°F for 5 minutes then shake basket to redistribute pieces

Continue cooking shaking basket every 5 minutes for total of 20 minutes until pieces are caramelized and slightly crispy

During last 5 minutes brush with additional reserved sauce for extra glaze

Remove from air fryer and toss with remaining sauce

Let cool 2 minutes before serving
