Ingredients
- 4 cups bread flour
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 1/2 cups warm water (110F)
Instructions
Add warm water to the bread maker pan
Place butter in corners of the bread pan
Add flour to the pan, covering the liquid
Make a small well in the center of the flour
Add sugar and salt around the edges of the flour
Add yeast to the well in the flour
Place pan in bread maker and close lid
Select Basic White Bread setting, medium crust, and 2-pound loaf size
Press Start
When cycle completes, remove pan using oven mitts
Turn bread out onto cooling rack
Let cool for 30 minutes before slicing
