Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs room temperature
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

Prepare the Batter

  • Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions and lightly grease with cooking spray.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and mix in water, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.

Cook the Waffles

  • Pour about 1/2 cup of batter into the preheated waffle iron, spreading evenly.
  • Close the lid and cook for 3-5 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp.

Serve

  • Carefully remove the waffle and repeat with the remaining batter.
  • Serve warm with your favorite toppings such as syrup, fruit, or powdered sugar.
