Ingrédients

Meatballs

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs or panko
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 2 tbsp green onions finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger freshly grated
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Teriyaki Sauce

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 1 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Meatball Mixture

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, beaten egg, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper. Mix well.
  • Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and set aside.

Cook the Meatballs

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of sesame oil.
  • Add meatballs and cook for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.

Make the Teriyaki Sauce

  • In the same skillet, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and cornstarch slurry.
  • Simmer for 3-4 minutes until thickened.

Coat the Meatballs

  • Return the meatballs to the skillet and toss to coat them evenly with the sauce.

Serve

  • Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve warm over rice or noodles.
