Ingrédients

  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • 1 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes halved
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil chopped
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese grated, for serving
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

Cook the Spaghetti

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Shrimp

  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until they turn pink and opaque. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Make the Sauce

  • In the same skillet, add cherry tomatoes and red pepper flakes. Cook for 5 minutes until the tomatoes soften and release their juices.

Combine Everything

  • Return the shrimp to the skillet. Add the cooked spaghetti and toss to combine.
  • Stir in fresh basil and season with salt and black pepper. Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
