Ingrédients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp melted butter or oil
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Butter or oil for greasing

Instructions

Make the Batter

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, beat the egg with milk, melted butter or oil, and vanilla.
  • Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.

Cook the Pancakes

  • Heat a greased non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  • Spoon small rounds (about 1 tbsp each) of batter into the pan.
  • Cook until bubbles form on top, then flip and cook 1–2 more minutes until golden.

Serve

  • Serve warm with maple syrup, fresh fruit, or whipped cream.
