Equipment

Ingrédients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup mixed dried fruits such as cranberries, raisins, apricots, or cherries, chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts such as almonds, walnuts, or pecans
  • 1/4 cup seeds such as sunflower or chia seeds (optional)
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter or almond butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

Prepare the Dry Ingredients

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine rolled oats, chopped dried fruits, nuts, and seeds. Stir well.

Make the Binding Mixture

  • In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the honey (or maple syrup) with peanut butter, stirring until smooth.
  • Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.

Combine and Set the Bars

  • Pour the wet mixture over the dry ingredients and mix until fully coated.
  • Line a baking dish with parchment paper and press the granola mixture firmly into an even layer.
  • Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up before slicing into bars.

Serve and Store

  • Cut into bars and enjoy. Store in an airtight container at room temperature or in the refrigerator for longer freshness.
