Ingrédients

  • 1 lb ground beef 80/20 blend for best results
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce optional, for extra flavor
  • 4 slices cheese cheddar, American, or your choice
  • 4 burger buns toasted
  • 1 tomato sliced, for topping
  • 4 leaves lettuce
  • 4 tbsp mayonnaise or your favorite sauce
  • 4 tbsp ketchup optional

Instructions

Prepare the Burger Patties

  • In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently until just combined.
  • Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties, about 1/2 inch thick.

Cook the Burgers

  • Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Place the patties on the grill and cook for 3-4 minutes on one side.
  • Flip the burgers and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Place a slice of cheese on each patty and cover with a lid for 1-2 minutes until melted.

Assemble the Cheeseburgers

  • Toast the burger buns on the grill or in a skillet for about 1 minute.
  • Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun.
  • Place a lettuce leaf, a cheeseburger patty, a slice of tomato, and any additional toppings of choice.
  • Spread ketchup on the top half of the bun, then place it on top of the burger.

Serve

  • Serve immediately with fries or your favorite side dish.
