Equipment

  • Skillet or griddle For cooking the quesadilla
  • Spatula For flipping the quesadilla
  • Knife For slicing the quesadilla
  • Cutting board For preparing ingredients

Ingrédients

  • 2 flour tortillas 8-inch size
  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar, Monterey Jack, or Mexican blend
  • 1 tbsp butter for crispiness, optional

Instructions

Prepare the Quesadilla

  • Place one tortilla on a cutting board and evenly sprinkle shredded cheese over it.
  • Place the second tortilla on top or fold the tortilla in half if using just one.

Cook the Quesadilla

  • Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and add butter if desired.
  • Place the quesadilla in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottom is golden brown.
  • Flip the quesadilla using a spatula and cook for another 2 minutes until crispy and the cheese is melted.

Serve

  • Remove from heat and let cool for a minute before slicing into wedges.
  • Serve warm with salsa, sour cream, or guacamole.
