Ingrédients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter browned
  • 3 ripe bananas mashed (about 1 1/2 cups)
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt or sour cream
  • Butter or spray for greasing pan

Instructions

Brown the Butter

  • Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring constantly, until it turns golden brown and smells nutty. Let cool slightly.

Mix Wet Ingredients

  • In a large bowl, combine browned butter, mashed bananas, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla, and yogurt. Mix until smooth.

Add Dry Ingredients

  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Add to wet mixture and stir until just combined.

Bake

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  • Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
