Equipment

  • Mixing bowl For combining ingredients

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt full-fat preferred
  • 1 egg beaten, for egg wash
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds or any topping of choice

Instructions

Prepare the Dough

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Add the Greek yogurt and mix until a dough forms.
  • Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for 2-3 minutes until smooth.

Shape the Bagels

  • Divide the dough into 6 equal pieces.
  • Roll each piece into a rope and connect the ends to form a bagel shape.

Bake the Bagels

  • Place the shaped bagels onto the prepared baking sheet.
  • Brush each bagel with the beaten egg and sprinkle sesame seeds or toppings of choice.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.

Serve

  • Let the bagels cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm or toasted!
